SIMPLE STYLE
The name "Orpheum" means "House of Orpheus". Orpheus was the son of
Apollo and the muse Calliope in Greek Mythology. He was known for
composing and performing music that could tame the wildest beasts,
silence the dangerous song of the sirens, and even calm Cerberus, the
three headed dog standing guard at the gates of the Underworld. This
shirt design features the medallion depicting Orpheus dancing with his
doomed wife Eurydice that has been sitting front and center of the
Orpheum overlooking downtown Hillsboro since 1920.
